In 2022 we played the impressive children’s dance project De Troostprijs (Consolation Prize) at Dance Company for Chidren De Stilte. Written and Directed by the ever inspiring Jack Timmermans.
I wrote a score for piano, vocals (Margriet Sjoerdsma) and Violin (Vera van der Bie).
De Troostprijs is about the absurdity of turning everything in life into a competition, but thanks to its subtle layering, it achieves an admirable balance between bitterness and lightheartedness. (NRC)
