Another exciting project that will take place is the Zappa Festival in de Doelen in Rotterdam. The Doelenensemble asked me to write a composition for ensemble and soloist, and so I did! ‘Far East South’ is the title and it will honour besides Zappa, Edgar Varèse and Hermeto Pascoal. It is specially written for my big friend and even larger instrumentalist Steffen Schorn on Tubax, Bass Flute and Contralto Clarinet.
