Maria is a composition I originally wrote for the project Rosefire, with trumpet player Eric Vloeimans, mezzo-soprano Tania Kross and the Matangi Quartet. But Maria grew older, changing shapes along the way. We travelled together to jazz ensembles, symphony orchestras or we just found each other at a concert with voice and piano.
